Some things cannot be avoided. Fascinated with automobiles as early as the age of two, Jol Dantzig was clearly obsessed. While other kids were going to the ballpark, Dantzig's father encouraged his son's behavior by dragging him to SCCA events. For Jol, names like Watkins Glen, Riverside and Elkhart Lake were more poignant than Fenway or Comiskey Park. One of his favorite childhood memories was watching Dan Gurney push his Ford GT across the finish line at the Sebring 12 hour in Florida.

The original free spirit, Carla is an educator who teaches literature, creative writing and contemporary film studies. She also works in graphics and internet content.

Carla is a racing fan who can quote the F1 schedule from memory, and is the proud owner of both a Twin Turbo Audi TT and an original 1973 911 RS.

A lover of literature and art, she is usually buried in a book or working in photoshop on her titanium powerbook. At the track Carla oversees
the catering and "lifestyle" equipment.

A quick learner with excellent reflexes, Dan spends his days teaching dance with an emphasis on street-inspired hip-hop styles. A fan of tuner-cars and drifting, Dan indulged his wide appreciation of automotive style by visiting the Ferrari museum while on vacation in Italy

From his love of all things mechanical, to his stubborn work ethic, Rob Hurley was made for motorsports. His ongoing ATV/Go-Kart project has him pouring over Carrol Smith's books on fabrication and suspension theory and spending way too much time with a welding torch in his hand. Needless to say, this is the type of guy you want on your team. How many people bring a camcorder to a Skip Barber shop open house?

Rob Hurley

Peter is the prototypical car guy. Having worked in auto sales, Peter has seen the side of that business few of us witness first hand. A regular at Lime Rock as a spectator, Peter has also crewed for his brother's championship winning SCCA efforts over the years.

A collector of American iron, Peter currently drives a Mustang Cobra. In a dichotomy that remains unexplained, he also owns two vintage Cheverolets. Peter's latest passion is photography, a skill he is honing on our trips to the racetrack, and will be displayed increasingly on these pages.

Upbeat and positive, Tim is blessed with a great sense of humor and a will to achieve.

His work in the physical training field extends beyond the usual pumping-iron mentality to encompass core-strenthening and physical therapy and yoga disciplines. As physical and mental fitness becomes more key to racing, Tim's contribution to the team is essential.

Our full-bred German Shepherd (GSD), Heidi has quickly learned her job as head of security. Initially a small-displacement, lightweight piece of equipment, Heidi has grown in size and power and is a constant source of amusement.

California born Stephen Goodrich brings a unique energy to everything he does. Jol and Stephen first met in California while he was working for Mesa Boogie. A musician and dedicated fan, Stephen is involved in the international sales and artist relations areas at Kaman Music.

Although somewhat new to the racing scene, Stephen's organizational skills make him indispensable at the track. Of course, loading a race trailer and setting up in the paddock is a lot like a rock gig! Equipped with a riotous sense of humor and razor-sharp wit, life is never dull around Stephen. The locals of Nashville probably still talk about that crazy night at the NASCAR Cafe!
