ELLIOT EASTON
Known as one of rock's most tasteful players, Elliot Easton first made his presence known in the 1980s as guitarist with The Cars.
Being left-handed presented its challenges to Easton, so custom guitars were pretty much the norm for him. This, coupled with Easton's love of vintage instruments made him the perfect customer for Hamer.
Elliot made several trips to the Hamer shop, and was a frequent guest at NAMM shows and after hour jam sessions.
His Hamer guitars included a Ferrari red Prototype and several custom guitars including a sea foam green "Teardrop" model that featured Phantom electronics. Jol Dantzig delivered the Teardrop on the set of Saturday Night Live, where Easton immediately pressed it into service for the Cars' performance.
