Here's Brinsley Schwarz with one of his many Hamer guitars. This one the black Standard model with custom electronics. Schwarz is a legendary British musician and founder of the band "Brinsley Schwarz" which was part of the so-called "pub rock" movement in England during the 1970s.
Schwarz would go on to work with Graham Parker (the prototype for Elvis Costello) and lend his signature sound and "parts-based" style to many of Parkers recordings. Schwarz described his style as playing "little songs within the song" and he routinely provided the musical hook for Parker's tunes.
After his conversion to Hamer, Schwarz ordered a number of Standards in various finishes, and became one of the first to play the Hamer "Prototype" model when it was released in the early 1980s.
